Describe what still works
Glass damage and an image or touch problem are different observations. Tell us about black patches, coloured lines, flickering or missed touches. Include whether the phone was dropped, the frame changed shape or liquid was involved.
If handling the screen exposes sharp glass, avoid pressing or picking at it. Do not force a bent device back into shape. Ask how to handle or transport it safely before arranging the repair.
Find the exact model
An iPhone model name is more useful than its colour or approximate age. Use the model listed in your device settings, packaging or purchase record if available. Do not send your account login or a photograph showing private information.
If the screen cannot be used, explain that. Do not keep attempting a passcode on an unreliable touch screen just to complete an enquiry.
Ask about the proposed replacement
- Which display part or option is included in the quote?
- Are there other signs of damage that need checking?
- Which device functions can be tested before and after?
- What written warranty applies to this particular repair?
Confirm parts and same-day availability before treating a time as booked. A quote should make the scope clear rather than assume every cracked screen requires exactly the same work.
Prepare your enquiry
A helpful message is: "My iPhone [model] was dropped. The glass is cracked, the picture [describe it] and touch [works/does not work]. I am in [town or postal code]. Please advise on the repair and an upfront quote."
